Do’s and Don’ts When Buying Soccer Shoes

Written by Soccer Garage

Selecting the right soccer cleats can be daunting. There is a large variety of soccer shoes in the market. Make a few wrong assumptions and you might end up with the wrong pair for you. Here are a few Do’s and Don’ts:

Buy shoes according to the surface you play on. Find out the surfaces you will be playing on throughout the season and then buy accordingly. Sometimes you might need multiple pairs for multiple conditions.

Make your selection according to the position you play. Strikers will always need different shoes. This will also vary according to your pay style.

Always buy shoes that fit perfectly, not slightly loose nor slightly tight. Go during the time of day you will end up playing when buying your shoes.

Try to find shoes appropriate to the shape of your feet. This can be tricky because if you have a slightly different foot shape you might need to find custom shoes.

Never buy a pair of soccer shoes, just because your favorite player just bought them. Always stick to what is best for you. The same applies to your soccer uniform.

Do not limit yourself to buying from a physical store, try a search online and find the best deal. Sometimes you can try on a shoe in a physical store and get it cheaper online.

Do not prefer economy over quality. A lot of the time cheaper does not mean better. This is one of those instances. Stick to brands like Adidas soccer shoes.

Soccer Garage is an online retailer of high-quality gear and apparel for soccer, baseball, volleyball, and other popular sports. Find soccer warm up gear or top of the line Adidas predator cleats on their website.

Neymar talks about Ballon D’Or Chances, Playing against Messi in World Cup Qualifier

Brazilian star Neymar is not trying to outdo Messi when it comes to football’s top prize – the Ballon D’Or.

In speaking with Marca, Neymar was quoted, saying “Messi is a star. Playing against him is not good; it’s bad. It’s going to be a tough game.”

But what is clear is that the former Santos star was able to make an excellent impression last season as FC Barcelona won their second treble. It’s been such good going that his name might be included in the 2015 Ballon D’Or list.

However, beating Lionel Messi might be a tall order since he has been in sublime form. Yet the youngster is only interested in playing his own game rather than competing with the world’s best.

Only after a successful season, Neymar and Brazil are set to meet Argentina and his Barca teammate for a World Cup qualifier.

He admits that it will take a lot to keep Messi down, in saying, “Messi is a star. Playing against him is not good; it’s bad. It’s going to be a tough game.”

As for his contribution to Barca’s campaign last season, he netted 22 goals and which is the most that he managed to do so in his career as a football player.

Of course, his goal against Paris Saint Germain in the Champion League has been nominated as a contender for the UEFA Goal of the Season prize.

People are expecting his name to feature with Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi for the top honor in football even his chances to win the Ballon D’Or are admittedly slim.
